Dr. Chafic Karam is a Neurologist at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in peripheral neuropathies and motor neuron disease (ALS) and is involved in various clinical trials in neuromuscular disorders.
 
Dr. Karam completed his medical training at St Joseph University in Beirut and his residency in neurology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, in New York. He did a fellowship in peripheral nerve pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and another fellowship in neuromuscular medicine and EMG at the Partners program, Harvard Medical School (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston’s Children Hospital) in Boston.
