Nelson Leung is a Nephrologist at Mayo Clinic, Minnesota. He completed his graduation from Santa Clara University and MD from Creighton University School of Medicine, followed by a Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Nephrology from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Nelson Leung has an experience in treating conditions like amyloidosis, kidney failure and monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS).

Dr. Leung is interested in kidney diseases caused by monoclonal gammopathy and also diseases like immunoglobulin light chain amyloidosis, caused by the overproduction of immunoglobulin light chains that form amyloid fibrils. Dr. Leung’s work particularly revolves around improving current diagnostic techniques and redefining response criteria in amyloidosis patients.
