Dr. Ronald Witteles is a cardiologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with heart failure. He has particular expertise in the treatment of amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, and cardiac complications of cancer therapy (sometimes called “Cardio-Oncology”). He serves as Co-Director of the Stanford Amyloid Center, one of the world’s leading centers for the care of patients with amyloidosis. He completed his residency and fellowship from Stanford University School of Medicine.
 
Dr. Witteles has published extensively in his areas of expertise, and has won many awards for his excellence in both patient care and education. He serves as Program Director for the Stanford Internal Medicine residency program. He holds board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology, and nuclear cardiology.
