Spectrum Health provides a number of services and programs for patient health. Spectrum Health Medical Group is the largest multispecialty physician group in West Michigan, spanning 13 counties. As the area’s largest multispecialty physician group, they offer more medical and surgical specialties than any place else. Best of all, the health care providers work together as a team to coordinate patient care particularly when a serious condition requires care from several specialists. This coordinated approach allows patients to focus on what is most important for getting healthy and living a better life.

Hereditary or senile transthyretin (TTR) cardiac amyloidosis is a rare and underestimated cause of heart failure in old patients. Spectrum Health can help such patients with the help of their Advanced Heart Failure Program which offers comprehensive services to address all aspects of heart failure, from diagnosis to palliative care.

Spectrum Health has the only adult blood and marrow transplant (BMT) program in West Michigan and provides marrow, peripheral stem cell and umbilical cord blood transplants for cancerous and non-cancerous conditions. Blood and marrow transplantation helps in treatment of conditions like plasma cell dyscrasias, including multiple myeloma and amyloidosis.
