Combination chemotherapy/other medication

New combinations of steroids and chemotherapy are being studied to treat amyloidosis.

Stem cell transplantation

Based on research in some medical centers, stem cell transplantation may be offered to patients more often for amyloidosis. 

Palliative care

Clinical trials are underway to find better ways of reducing symptoms and side effects of current amyloidosis treatments to improve patients’ comfort and quality of life.
