Gerald Berry is a Professor of Pathology at the Stanford University Medical Center. He completed his medical education from University of Ottawa School of Medicine, Canada. He is board certified in pathology from American Board of Pathology and anatomic pathology from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 
 
He completed residency from Stanford University Surgical Pathology Fellowship, California, internship from Ottawa General Hospital, Canada and fellowship from Stanford University Pathology Residency, California.
 
His current research and scholarly interest include cardiopulmonary and pulmonary transplant medicine, and diagnostic surgical pathology.
